the first: from Muʿayqīb who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, "The Fire is forbidden for the gentle, lenient, easy-going, and approachable person." It was recorded by al-Kharāʾiṭī (23) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" and "al-Awsaṭ" from Shaybān ibn Farrūkh, who narrated from Abū Umayyah ibn Yaʿlá al-Thaqafī, from Muḥammad ibn Muʿayqīb, from his father. I said: And this Abū Umayyah is weak, as stated by al-Haythamī. the second: from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "The Fire is forbidden for every gentle, lenient, easy-going, and approachable person." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" and al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (p. 444) from Jumhūr ibn Manṣūr al-Qurashī, who said: Wahb ibn Ḥakīm al-Azdī narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn from him. And al-Ṭabarānī said, "No one narrated it from Ibn Sīrīn except Wahb, and Jumhūr was alone in narrating it." I said: I did not find a biography for him except what al-ʿUqaylī mentioned after the ḥadīth: "al-Ḥaḍramī said to us: I asked Ibn Numayr about Jumhūr? He said: Write from him." As for Wahb ibn Ḥakīm, al-ʿUqaylī said, "Unknown in transmission, and his ḥadīth is not followed." meaning this, and he said, "This is narrated from another route, with a sound isnād."
