- "Indeed, the Anṣār have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is upon you. So, be kind to their good-doers and overlook their wrongdoers." It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2293) and Aḥmad (3/187, 205-206) through various chains from Ḥumayd from Anas ibn Mālik. "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) went out one day with his head bandaged, and he was met by the children and servants of the Anṣār, the pride of the Anṣār at that time. He said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I love you (twice or thrice).' Then he said," and he mentioned it. This chain is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim. It was also recorded by Aḥmad (3/162) through the route of Thābit al-Bunānī, who heard Anas ibn Mālik say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned it similarly. Its chain is also authentic according to their criteria. The last part of it is supported by a narration from Sahl ibn Saʿd, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Jaʿfar, and Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ḥāṭib, elevated to the Prophet. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/37): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is ʿAbd al-Muhaymin ibn ʿAbbās ibn Sahl, who is weak." He mentioned it on the previous page similarly and said: "It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ' and 'al-Kabīr' with chains, one of which includes ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muṣʿab, and the other includes ʿAbd al-Muhaymin ibn ʿAbbās, and both are weak."
