to them, until he approached their dwellings, he turned to his people and said: "It is time that I do not care for the blame of any blamer for the sake of Allāh." Abū Saʿīd said: "When the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) appeared, he said: 'Stand up for your leader...' [the ḥadīth continues]. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: 'Judge among them.' Saʿd said: 'I judge that their fighters be killed, their women and children be taken captive, and their wealth be divided.'" The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "You have judged with the judgment of Allāh and His Messenger." She said: "Then Saʿd prayed: 'O Allāh, if You have left any battle for Your Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with Quraysh, then keep me alive for it; and if You have ended the war between him and them, then take me to You.' She said: 'His wound burst open, and he had recovered to the point that nothing was seen of it except like a small ring. He returned to his tent which the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) had set up for him.' ʿĀʾishah said: 'The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), Abū Bakr, and ʿUmar attended him.' She said: 'By the One in whose hand Muḥammad's soul is, I could distinguish ʿUmar's weeping from Abū Bakr's weeping while I was in my chamber, and they were as Allāh described: (Compassionate among themselves) (Sūrah al-Fatḥ, verse 29).' ʿAlqamah said: 'I asked: "O mother, how did the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) behave?" She said: "His eyes did not weep for anyone, but when he was affected, he would hold his beard."'" I said: And this is a good isnād. Al-Haythamī said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (6/128): "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and in it is Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿAlqamah, who is good in ḥadīth, and the rest of its men are trustworthy." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (11/43): "And its isnād is good." I said: And it was also narrated by al-Bukhārī (4/175), Abū Dāwūd (5215), Aḥmad (2/22, 71), and Abū Yaʿlá
