"I was with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)," and similarly, the narration of Ibn Abī Ḥātim from Ibn Abī Fudayk from more than one person, in which it is said: "I was sitting with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)." Likewise, the narration of Mūsá ibn Ayyūb from Ibn Abī Fudayk, as mentioned in "al-Iṣābah," and he said after it: "This implies the confirmation of his companionship." I say: this is what we favor. And if you understand this, then the isnād, in my view, is authentic as al-Ḥākim said, because al-Saʿdī was not alone in this; rather, he was followed by a group, among them ʿAmr ibn Abī ʿAmr, who is trustworthy. And Allāh knows best. The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Suyūṭī in "al-Jāmiʿ" with this wording from the narration of al-Tirmidhī and al-Ḥākim, and with the wording: "Abū Bakr is to me like hearing and sight are to the head." By the narration of Abū Yaʿlá from al-Muṭṭalib ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥanṭab from his father from his grandfather, Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr said: and he has no other, (Ḥal) from Ibn ʿAbbās. (Khaṭ) from Jābir
" كنت مع رسول الله ﷺ "، ومثلها رواية ابن أبي حاتم عن ابنأبي فديك عن غير واحد، ففيها قوله: " كنت جالسا عند رسول الله صلى الله عليهوسلم ". وكذلك رواية موسى بن أيوب عن ابن أبي فديك، كما في " الإصابة "وقال عقبها: " فهذا يقتضي ثبوت صحبته ".قلت: وهو الذي نرجحه. وإذا عرفت ذلك، فالإسناد عندي صحيح كما قال الحاكم،لأن السعدي لم يتفرد به، بل تابعه جماعة منهم عمرو بن أبي عمرو وهو ثقة.والله أعلم.والحديث أورده السيوطي في " الجامع " بهذا اللفظ من رواية الترمذي والحاكم،وبلفظ: " أبو بكر مني بمنزلة السمع والبصر من الرأس ".برواية أبي يعلى عن المطلب بن عبد الله بن حنطب عن أبيه عن جده، قال ابن عبدالبر: وما له غيره، (حل) عن ابن عباس.
