It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/94) with a sound chain. Fifth: from ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib ibn Rabīʿah ibn al-Ḥārith as marfūʿ with the wording: "O people! Whoever harms al-ʿAbbās has harmed me, for indeed the uncle of a man is like his father." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/165) through the route of Yazīd ibn ʿAṭāʾ from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Nawfal who said: ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib ibn Rabīʿah narrated to me... I say: This isnād is weak, due to Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, who is al-Hāshimī their client, and he has poor memory. Similarly, Yazīd ibn ʿAṭāʾ. However, I mentioned a supporting witness for it in "al-Mishkāt" (3156) which strengthens it.

- "ʿAmmār is filled with faith up to his bones." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (2/269-270) and al-Ḥākim (3/392-393) through routes from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī who said: Sufyān narrated to us from al-Aʿmash from Abū ʿAmmār from ʿAmr ibn Sharḥabīl from a man among the Companions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic; its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for Abū ʿAmmār, whose name is ʿArīb ibn Ḥumayd al-Hamdānī, and he is trustworthy. The anonymity of the Companion does not harm, as Muḥammad ibn Abī Yaʿqūb named him when ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated it to us, and he said: "ʿAbd Allāh," meaning Ibn Masʿūd. It was recorded by al-Ḥākim who said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs if Muḥammad ibn Abī Yaʿqūb preserved it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī! And al-Dhahabī agreed with him! I say: This Ibn Abī Yaʿqūb is trustworthy, one of the shaykhs of al-Bukhārī, and his father's name is Isḥāq, so if
