"a ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ, and they did not include it," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I say: it is as they said. Al-Suyūṭī attributed it in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" to Muslim as well, which is an error, for it is not in it, and its chain is based on Zayd ibn Arṭāh, who is not according to his criteria, even though he is trustworthy. Therefore, al-Ḥākim and al-Dhahabī confidently stated that they did not include it, and likewise, al-Nābulusī in "al-Dhakhāʾir" (3/158) only attributed it to the three authors of the Sunan! It was attributed to al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" in "al-Fatḥ al-Kabīr," and it is likely an error by some copyists. Know that the interpretation of the victory mentioned in the ḥadīth has come, and it is not a victory by the persons of the righteous, but rather by their supplications and sincerity, as mentioned in the following ḥadīth: "Allāh grants victory to this ummah through its weak ones: by their supplications, prayers, and sincerity." It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī (2/65), Tamām in "al-Fawāʾid" (folio 105/2), and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (5/26) through various chains from Ṭalḥah ibn Muṣarrif from Muṣʿab ibn Saʿd from his father. "that he thought he had superiority over those below him among the Companions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), so the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said..." and he mentioned it. I say: this isnād is ṣaḥīḥ according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Al-Bukhārī also narrated it (4/30 - al-Nahḍah) through another chain from Muṣʿab with it, without the mentioned interpretation. Likewise, Aḥmad narrated it (1/163) through another chain from Saʿd.
" حديث حسن صحيح ". وقال الحاكم: " صحيح الإسناد، ولم يخرجاه "، ووافقه الذهبي. قلت: وهو كما قالوا. وقد عزاه السيوطي في " الجامع الصغير " لمسلم أيضا وهو وهم، فليس هو فيه ومداره على زيد بن أرطاة وليس هو على شرطه وإن كان ثقة. ولذلك جزم الحاكم والذهبي بأنهما لم يخرجاه، وكذلك النابلسي في " الذخائر " (٣ / ١٥٨) لم يعزه إلا لأصحاب السنن الثلاثة! ووقع معزو للبخاري في " الأدب المفرد " في " الفتح الكبير "، ولعله سهو من بعض النساخ. واعلم أنه قد جاء تفسير النصر المذكور في الحديث، وأنه ليس نصرا بذوات الصالحين، وإنما هو بدعائهم وإخلاصهم وذلك في الحديث الآتي: " إنما ينصر الله هذه الأمة بضعيفها: بدعوتهم وصلاتهم وإخلاصهم ". أخرجه النسائي (٢ / ٦٥) وتمام في " الفوائد " (ق ١٠٥ / ٢) وأبو نعيم في " الحلية " (٥ / ٢٦) من طرق عن طلحة بن مصرف عن مصعب بن سعد عن أبيه. " أنه ظن أن له فضلا على من دونه من أصحاب النبي ﷺ، فقال النبي ﷺ ... ": فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح على شرط الشيخين. وقد أخرجه البخاري (٤ / ٣٠ - النهضة) من طريق أخرى عن مصعب به دون التفسير المذكور. وكذلك أخرجه أحمد (١ / ١٦٣) من طريق أخرى عن سعد.
