and I have found for him two other corroborators: the first is Abū ʿAlī ʿUthmān ibn Jaʿfar, who narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Jaḥādah with some rearrangement. It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/409) who said: "All of its narrators are trustworthy, except for this ʿUthmān ibn Jaʿfar, for I do not know him to be reliable or criticized." I said: Al-Ḥāfiẓ mentioned it in "al-Lisān" with this ḥadīth and al-Ḥākim's statement about it, and he added nothing except that he said: It is a rejected ḥadīth. As for al-Dhahabī, he did not mention it in "al-Mīzān," but in "al-Talkhīṣ" he said: "I said: it is this, and it is weak." He refers to the following corroboration: the second is Ghazāl ibn Muḥammad from Muḥammad ibn Jaḥādah with the omission of the day when Ayyūb was relieved and the day he was afflicted, and the rest is the same. It was recorded by Ibn ʿAsākir in "Juzʾ Akhbār al-Qurʾān" (Q 5/1) and al-Ḥākim (4/211) through routes from Abū al-Khaṭṭāb Ziyād ibn Yaḥyá al-Ḥassānī who narrated to us from Ghazāl ibn Muḥammad. And he said: "All of its narrators are trustworthy except for Ghazāl ibn Muḥammad, for he is unknown; I do not know him to be reliable or criticized." Al-Dhahabī concurred. And he said in "al-Mīzān": "He is unknown and his report is rejected in cupping." and I found for Ibn Jaḥādah corroborators:
وقد وجدت له متابعين آخرين: الأول: أبو علي عثمان بن جعفر: حدثنا محمد بن جحادة به. مع تقديم وتأخير. أخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ٤٠٩) وقال: " رواته كلهم ثقات، غير عثمان بن جعفر هذا فإني لا أعرفه بعدالة ولا جرح ". قلت: وأورده الحافظ في " اللسان " بهذا الحديث وقول الحاكم فيه، ولم يزد عليه سوى أنه قال: إنه حديث منكر. وأما الذهبي فلم يورده في " الميزان " وأما في " التلخيص " فقال: " قلت: هو هذا، وهو واه ". ويعني به المتابعة التالية: الثاني: غزال بن محمد عن محمد بن جحادة به باختصار اليوم الذي عوفي فيه أيوب واليوم الذي أصابه البلاء، والباقي مثله سواء. أخرجه ابن عساكر في " جزء أخبار القرآن " (ق ٥ / ١) والحاكم (٤ / ٢١١) من طرق عن أبي الخطاب زياد بن يحيى الحساني حدثنا غزال بن محمد به. وقال: " رواته كلهم ثقات إلا غزال بن محمد فإنه مجهول لا أعرفه بعدالة ولا جرح ". وأقره الذهبي. وقال في " الميزان ": " لا يعرف وخبره منكر في الحجامة ". ووجدت لابن جحادة متابعين:
