and it was also recorded by Aḥmad and al-Firyābī (p. 54) through another chain from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sharīḥ. I said: This isnād has trustworthy men except for Muḥammad ibn Hudayyah, whom I have not found anyone to declare trustworthy. The second: It is narrated by Ibn Lahīʿah, who said: Darāj narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jubayr from him. It was recorded by Aḥmad and Ibn Baṭṭah. Its isnād is good for follow-ups, as Darāj is weak, and similarly Ibn Lahīʿah, but the narrator from him according to Ibn Baṭṭah is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb, and his ḥadīth from him is authentic because he heard from him early on, as did ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Muqriʾ. 2 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUqbah, it is narrated from him by Musharrah ibn Hāʿān, and there are two paths from him: the first: from Ibn Lahīʿah, who said: Musharrah narrated to us from him. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/151, 154-155), al-Firyābī, Ibn Baṭṭah, Ibn Qutaybah in "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth" (1/105/1), Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (211/1), al-Khaṭīb in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (1/56/6), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (10/19/1) from various paths from him. This isnād is good, Musharrah is trustworthy, and there is slight criticism regarding his memory, which does not harm [the ḥadīth], and Ibn Lahīʿah is trustworthy when narrated from by one of the ʿAbādilah, and this has been narrated from him by the three ʿAbādilah: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd according to Aḥmad, Ibn al-Mubārak according to al-Firyābī, and Ibn Wahb according to Ibn Baṭṭah, especially since it has been followed up, as will be mentioned. The other: Aḥmad said: Abū Salamah al-Khuzāʿī narrated to us, al-Walīd ibn al-Mughīrah narrated to us, Musharrah ibn Hāʿān narrated to us from him
وأخرجه أحمد أيضا والفريابي (ص ٥٤) من طريق أخرى عن عبد الرحمن بن شريح به. قلت: وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات غير محمد بن هدية، فلم أر من وثقه. الثانية: يرويه ابن لهيعة حدثنا دراج عن عبد الرحمن بن جبير عنه. أخرجه أحمد وابن بطه. وإسناده حسن في المتابعات، فإن دراجا فيه ضعف، ومثله ابن لهيعة، لكن الراوي عنه عند ابن بطه عبد الله بن وهب، وهو صحيح الحديث عنه، لأنه سمع منه قديما، وكذلك عبد الله بن المبارك وعبد الله ابن يزيد المقري. ٢ - وأما حديث عقبة، فيرويه عنه مشرح بن هاعان، وله عنه طريقان: الأولى: عن ابن لهيعة حدثنا مشرح به. أخرجه أحمد (٤ / ١٥١، ١٥٤ - ١٥٥) والفريابي وابن بطة وابن قتيبة في "غريب الحديث " (١ / ١٠٥ / ١) وابن عدي في " الكامل (٢١١ / ١) والخطيب في" تاريخ بغداد " (١ / ٥٦ / ٦) وابن عساكر في " تاريخ دمشق " (١٠ / ١٩ / ١) من طرق عنه. وهذا إسناد حسن، مشرح ثقة، وفيه كلام يسير من قبل حفظه، لا يضر، وابن لهيعة ثقة إذا روى عنه أحد العبادلة، وهذا قد رواه عنه العبادلة الثلاثة: عبد الله بن يزيد عند أحمد، وابن المبارك عند الفريابي، وابن وهب عند ابن بطة، لاسيما وقد توبع، وهو فيما يأتي. والأخرى: قال أحمد: حدثنا أبو سلمة الخزاعي حدثنا الوليد بن المغيرة حدثنا مشرح بن هاعان به.
