al-Munāwī said in "al-Fayḍ": "It was also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī. Al-Haythamī said: In it is Abū Saʿīd al-Ghifārī, from whom only Ḥumayd ibn Hāniʾ narrated, and its men are trustworthy. It was also narrated by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in 'Dhamm al-Ḥasad.' Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-ʿIrāqī said: Its chain is good." I said: Khalād ibn Sulaymān also narrated from him as mentioned earlier, so his anonymity is lifted. Moreover, he is a Tābiʿī, and such a person is considered reliable by a group of ḥadīth scholars. Thus, al-Ḥāfiẓ al-ʿIrāqī deemed its chain good, and this is what my heart is inclined towards and my soul finds peace with, for the ḥadīth is a sign of his prophethood (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam).

"Travel by night, for the earth is folded during the night." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2571) and al-Ḥākim (2/114), and from him by al-Bayhaqī (5/256) through the route of Khālid ibn Yazīd who reported from Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī from al-Rabīʿ ibn Anas who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim mentioned it as a supporting evidence for the following route and said: "If it is free from Khālid ibn Yazīd al-ʿUmrī." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: It appeared as "al-ʿUmrī" with him, but this does not appear with Abū Dāwūd, and I do not consider it preserved because al-ʿUmrī was not included by Abū Dāwūd or any of the six [canonical ḥadīth collections], and he is accused of lying. Rather, it is Khālid ibn Yazīd al-Azdī al-ʿAtakī, also known as al-Haddādī, and he is truthful but makes mistakes, as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb." And Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī is weak due to his poor memory
