Its chain of transmission is authentic, and it is considered marfūʿ [a ḥadīth attributed to the Prophet] despite being mawqūf [a statement of a Companion], thus it serves as a strong corroboration for this ḥadīth of Anas. Among the corroborating evidence is the following ḥadīth: "Three types of people whom Allāh will not look at on the Day of Resurrection: one who is undutiful to his parents, a woman who imitates men, and a cuckold. And three will not enter Paradise: one who is undutiful to his parents, an alcoholic, and one who reminds others of what he has given."
"Three types of people whom Allāh will not look at on the Day of Resurrection: one who is undutiful to his parents, a woman who imitates men, and a cuckold. And three will not enter Paradise: one who is undutiful to his parents, an alcoholic, and one who reminds others of what he has given." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/357), Aḥmad (2/134), Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawḥīd" (235), and Ibn Ḥibbān (56) from ʿUmar ibn Muḥammad, meaning Ibn Zayd ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār, the client of Ibn ʿUmar, who said: I bear witness that I heard Sālim say: ʿAbd Allāh (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said it, and he mentioned it. The wording of the text is from al-Nasāʾī. I say: This is a good chain of transmission; its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār, from whom a group of trustworthy narrators have transmitted, and Ibn Ḥibbān declared him reliable, thus his ḥadīth is ḥasan, if Allāh wills. Then Aḥmad narrated it (2/69, 128) from Qaṭn ibn Wahb ibn ʿUwāymir ibn al-Ajdaʿ from someone who narrated to him from Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh, in a shortened form with the wording: "Three whom Allāh has forbidden Paradise: an alcoholic, one who is undutiful, and a cuckold who accepts indecency in his family." And Qaṭn is trustworthy, one of the narrators of Muslim, but his teacher is unnamed, thus he is unknown.
