(4/244) and said: "Authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said. I have found a supporting narration for it from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet]. It was narrated by al-Daylamī in "his Musnad" (1/1/40 - its abridged version) from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaymān from Zayd Abū ʿAtāb from him. This isnād is acceptable for supporting evidences; this Zayd - who is Ibn Abī ʿAtāb - was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Maʿīn. And Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaymān, Abū Ḥātim said: his ḥadīth is recorded, but he is not strong. And al-Bukhārī said: his ḥadīth is rejected. Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt."
"Gather together for your meals and mention the name of Allāh over it, and you will be blessed in it." It was narrated by Abū Dāwūd (2/139), Ibn Mājah (2/307), Ibn Ḥibbān (1345), al-Ḥākim (2/103), and Aḥmad (3/501) through the route of al-Walīd ibn Muslim, who said: Waḥshī ibn Ḥarb ibn Waḥshī narrated to me from his father from his grandfather. "that a man said: O Messenger of Allāh, we eat but do not feel satisfied. He said: Perhaps you eat separately? Gather together..." and so on
