It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (1/13/1) and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Mukhtārah" (1/285), and its isnād is weak as I clarified in the other book (1537). However, it has supporting evidence with the wording: "The people accepted Islam and ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ believed," and another with the wording: "The sons of al-ʿĀṣ are believers, Hishām and ʿAmr." And they have passed (155, 156).

"There is no one better in the sight of Allāh than a believer who lives long in Islam, due to his glorification, magnification, and declaration of the oneness of Allāh." It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/163) and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (1/283) through the chain of Ṭalḥah ibn Yaḥyá ibn Ṭalḥah from Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ṭalḥah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Shaddād. "A group of three from Banū ʿUdhrah came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and accepted Islam. He said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Who will take care of them for me? Ṭalḥah said: I will. He said: They stayed with Ṭalḥah. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) sent out an expedition, and one of them went out and was martyred. Then he sent out another expedition, and another went out and was martyred. Then the third died on his bed. Ṭalḥah said: I saw these three who were with me in Paradise. I saw the one who died on his bed ahead of them, and I saw the one who was martyred last following him, and I saw the one who was martyred first as the last of them. He said: This affected me, so I went to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and mentioned it to him. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: What did you find strange about that? There is no one... the ḥadīth continues. I say: This isnād is good, and it is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim. There is some discussion about Ṭalḥah ibn Yaḥyá regarding his memory, but his ḥadīth does not fall below the level of ḥasan, if Allāh wills. And ʿAbd Allāh ibn Shaddād is a major tābiʿī who was born during the time of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), so it might be said that it is mursal. I say: Rather, it appears to be musnad, as he received it from Ṭalḥah himself, as indicated by his statement in the middle of the ḥadīth: "Ṭalḥah said." And Allāh knows best.
