" the prayer was established in the mosque, so we came walking with ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd. When the people bowed, ʿAbd Allāh bowed and we bowed with him while we were walking. A man passed in front of him and said: Peace be upon you, O Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān. ʿAbd Allāh, while bowing, said: Allāh and His Messenger have spoken the truth. When he finished, some of the people asked him why he said: Allāh and His Messenger have spoken the truth when the man greeted you. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say" and he mentioned it in the first narration. I said: Its narrators are all trustworthy except for Mujālid, who is Ibn Saʿīd and is not strong, but he is strengthened by the other narration, as Shurayk narrated from ʿAyyāsh al-ʿĀmirī from al-Aswad ibn Hilāl, from Ibn Masʿūd who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said and he mentioned it in the other narration. It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/405-406). This is a good isnād in terms of supporting evidence and follow-ups. Its narrators are all trustworthy except for Shurayk, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Qāḍī, as he has poor memory. However, the arrival of the ḥadīth from the previous route makes us confident in its authenticity and that it has been preserved. It is further strengthened by a third route from Ibn Masʿūd with the same meaning. I have referenced it just before this.

" Among the signs of the Hour is that a man will pass through the mosque without praying two rakʿahs in it." It was recorded by Ibn Khuzaymah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" and others from the narration of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd as marfūʿ. Its isnād is weak, as I explained in the other book (1530). However, the ḥadīth has another route from Ibn Masʿūd that strengthens it, as it has no defect except for anonymity, as I explained there (1531). It has a supporting mursal narration reported by Shurayk from al-ʿAbbās ibn Dhirīḥ from ʿĀmir, who raised it. It was recorded by al-Baghawī in "Ḥadīth ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd" (10/107/1)
