- "If the possessor of the Quran stands and recites it by night and day, he remembers it; but if he does not stand with it, he forgets it." It was recorded by Ibn Naṣr in "Qiyām al-Layl" (p. 73): Yūnus ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlá narrated to us, informing me from Anas ibn ʿIyāḍ, from Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). I say: This isnād is authentic; all its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs.

- "Three are under the guarantee of Allāh: A man who goes out to a mosque from the mosques of Allāh, a man who goes out as a warrior in the path of Allāh, and a man who goes out for pilgrimage." It was recorded by al-Ḥumaydī in "Musnad" (1190): Sufyān narrated to us, Abū al-Zanād narrated from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. And from the path of al-Ḥumaydī, it was narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (9/251), and it was only attributed to it by al-Suyūṭī in "al-Jāmiʿ"! And al-Manāwī left it blank! I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. And it was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym (3/13-14) from another path from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, raised similarly except that he said "and the one who performs ʿUmrah" instead of "a man who goes out to the mosque." In its isnād is al-Ḥakam ibn ʿAbdah al-Baṣrī, who is considered obscure as in "al-Taqrīb."
