"Whoever recites *'Say, He is Allāh, [who is] One'* until he completes it ten times, Allāh will build for him a palace in Paradise." It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/437) and al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (147) through the route of Ibn Lahīʿah and Rushdīn ibn Saʿd, who said: Zabbān ibn Fāʾid (al-Ḥamrāwī) narrated to us from Sahl ibn Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī from his father, Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī, a Companion of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), who said: and he mentioned it. And he added: "ʿUmar said: 'Then we will have many palaces, O Messenger of Allāh!' He replied: 'Allāh is more and better.'" It was also recorded by Ibn al-Sunnī (687) from Ibn Lahīʿah alone, without the addition. I say: This isnād is weak due to Zabbān. The ḥāfiẓ said: "He is weak in ḥadīth despite his righteousness and worship." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (7/145): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and Aḥmad, and in their isnāds are Rushdīn ibn Saʿd and Zabbān. Both are weak, and in them is a slight degree of reliability." I say: Rushdīn was followed by Ibn Lahīʿah according to Aḥmad, which strengthens it and distances it from defect, and Zabbān is not accused, so his ḥadīth is used as supporting evidence. I have found for it a connected witness and another mursal. As for the first, it was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ without the addition, and he added: "Whoever recites it twenty times, two palaces will be built for him, and whoever recites it thirty times, three will be built for him." Al-Haythamī said: "In it is Hānīʾ ibn al-Mutawakkil, who is weak." As for the other, al-Dārimī said in "Sunan" (2/459): ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd narrated to us, Ḥayywah narrated to us, saying: Abū ʿAqīl informed me that he heard Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib say: The Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned the ḥadīth similar to the ḥadīth of Muʿādh ibn Anas in its entirety, including the second addition found in the first witness
