- "Every morning, charity is due on every joint of one of you. Every glorification is charity, every praise is charity, every declaration of the oneness of Allāh is charity, every magnification is charity, enjoining good is charity, and forbidding evil is charity. Two rakʿahs that one prays in the forenoon suffice for that." Narrated by Muslim (2/158), Abū Dāwūd (2/249), and Aḥmad (5/167, 168) from Abū al-Aswad al-Dīlī from Abū Dharr as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Refer back to what was previously mentioned: "Has not Allāh made for you..." It has a corroborating narration with the wording: "In a human being, there are three hundred and sixty joints," which was also mentioned earlier. Another narration states: "On every marking of a human being, there is a prayer (in another narration: every day, charity is due on every marking of the son of Adam)." A man from the people said: "Who can bear this?" He replied: "Enjoining good is a prayer, forbidding evil is a prayer, helping a weak person is a prayer, and every step one of you takes to the prayer is a prayer." It is mentioned in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/104): "Narrated by Abū Yaʿlá, al-Bazzār, and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Ṣaghīr' with similar wording from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, and in 'al-Ṣaghīr' it adds: 'Two rakʿahs of the forenoon suffice for all of that.' The men of Abū Yaʿlá are the men of the authentic collections." I said: It is in "Musnad Abī Yaʿlá" (2/640-641) with the first wording, and it includes al-Walīd ibn Abī Thawr, who is weak. Then it is narrated with the other wording with a sound chain. The narration of "al-Ṣaghīr" previously appeared with the wording: (on every joint).
