"Your Lord is amazed by a shepherd on the peak of a mountain who calls to prayer and performs the prayer. Allāh says: Look at My servant, he calls to prayer and establishes the prayer out of fear of Me. I have forgiven My servant and admitted him to Paradise." This was narrated by Abū Dāwūd in "Ṣalāt al-Safar" number (1203), and al-Nasāʾī in "al-Adhān" (1/108), and Ibn Ḥibbān (260) through the route of Ibn Wahb from ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith, that Abū ʿAshānah narrated to him from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. I said: This is a sound Egyptian isnād, all its men are trustworthy, and Abū ʿAshānah's name is Ḥayy ibn Yuʾmin and he is trustworthy. (al-Shaẓiyyah): A piece of the mountain's peak that is elevated. In the ḥadīth, there is fiqh regarding the recommendation of the adhān for one who prays alone, and al-Nasāʾī has titled it as such. The command for it and for the iqāmah also appears in some routes of the ḥadīth of the one who performed his prayer poorly, so one should not be negligent about them.

- "Whoever calls to prayer for twelve years, Paradise becomes obligatory for him, and for each call to prayer he makes, sixty good deeds are written for him, and for each iqāmah, thirty good deeds."
