or rules out of aggression and injustice—this does not occur in the ruling of laws but can occur in a specific judgment, such as ruling against a person with something other than what Allāh has revealed to take revenge on him—this is said to be: unjust. The descriptions are applied according to the circumstances, and among the scholars, some have said: these are descriptions for a single described entity, and that every disbeliever is unjust, and every disbeliever is defiantly disobedient. They cite as evidence His saying: "And the disbelievers are the wrongdoers" and His saying: "But as for those who defiantly disobey, their refuge is the Fire." This is the greater defiance. In any case, as Shaykh al-Albānī indicated, a person should consider what the outcome will be. The issue is not theoretical, but the important thing is the practical application—what is the outcome? And may Allāh send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muḥammad, his family, his Companions, and those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Judgment.
