blessed are You, our Lord, and exalted [there is no refuge from You except to You] (the final tashahhud, the obligation of tashahhud). then the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), after completing the fourth rakʿah, would sit for the final tashahhud. and he would command in it what he commanded in the first and do in it what he did in the first, except that (al-Bukhārī) (he would sit in the tawarruk position) (Abū Dāwūd and al-Bayhaqī with a sound isnād). (he would place his left thigh on the ground and extend his feet to one side) (Muslim and Abū ʿAwānah). and (he would place the left foot under his thigh and shin) and (raise the right foot) and sometimes (spread it out) - Muslim and Abū ʿAwānah - occasionally (Muslim and Abū ʿAwānah). and (he would clasp his left hand on his knee, leaning on it). and it is prescribed in it to send prayers upon him (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) as it is prescribed in the first tashahhud, and the forms mentioned for sending prayers upon him (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) have been previously discussed. the obligation of sending prayers upon the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)
