and al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) learned to say [after completing his recitation in the witr prayer]: (Ibn Khuzaymah and likewise Ibn Abī Shaybah) (O Allāh, guide me among those You have guided, and grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, and take me into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, and bless me in what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed, for indeed You decree and none can decree over You, and indeed, none whom You have befriended will be humiliated, [nor will any be honored whom You have opposed] - this addition is confirmed in the ḥadīth as stated by the ḥāfiẓ in (al-Talkhīṣ)
وعلم الحسن بن علي رضي الله عن هـ أن يقول [إذا فرغ من قراءته في الوتر] :(ابن خزيمة وكذا ابن أبي شيبة) (اللهم اهدني فيمن هديت وعافني فيمن عافيت وتولني فيمن توليت وبارك لي فيما أعطيت وقني شر ما قضيت [ف] إنك تقضي ولا يقضى عليك [و] إنه لا يذل من واليت [ولا يعز من عاديت]- هذه الزيادة ثابتة في الحديث كما قال الحافظ في (التلخيص)
