and he would say various types of remembrances and supplications in this position, sometimes using one and sometimes another: on one occasion, he prolonged them in the night prayer to the extent that his bowing was nearly as long as his standing, and he recited in it three of the long chapters: al-Baqarah, al-Nisāʾ, and Āl ʿImrān, interspersed with supplication and seeking forgiveness as previously mentioned in (the night prayer)
