Here is a detailed account of that, beginning with the first of the five prayers: 1 - the Fajr prayer. (al-Nasāʾī and Aḥmad with a sound isnād) he (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would recite from the long sections of the mufassal. Sometimes he would recite: al-Wāqiʿah (56:96) and similar chapters in the two rakʿahs. (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) and he recited from Sūrah al-Ṭūr (52:49) during the Farewell Pilgrimage. (Muslim and al-Tirmidhī) and sometimes he would recite: Qāf and the glorious Qurʾān (50:45) and similar [in the first rakʿah]. (Muslim and Abū Dāwūd) and sometimes he would recite from the short sections of the mufassal, like Idhā al-shamsu kuwwirat (81:15)
