and His Messenger, and fears Allāh and is conscious of Him, then it is they who are the successful." And Allāh, the Exalted, said: "Obey Allāh and obey the Messenger." And Allāh revealed to His Messenger to say: "So fear Allāh and obey me." The verses indicating this meaning in general are more than thirty. From all that has been mentioned, it is understood that what the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) commanded and forbade, adhering to and following it was obligatory by the command of Allāh, the Exalted. Obedience to the Messenger of Allāh in this was obedience to Allāh, and the command from the Messenger of Allāh was a command from Allāh. We will clarify for you what has been authentically reported from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in several ḥadīths regarding the prohibition of raising graves and building upon them, the obligation to level them, and demolish what has been elevated from them. However, here we begin by mentioning things as a prelude and preparation for that, then we conclude with mentioning what is required, so that whoever examines this research will know that if there is a refutation of what Imām Yaḥyā and others said regarding domes and shrines, referring to what Allāh commanded to refer to, which is the Book of Allāh, the Exalted, and the sunnah of His Messenger (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), there is therein what heals and suffices, convinces and enriches by mentioning some of it, let alone mentioning all of it. At that point, it becomes clear to everyone with understanding the great trial in raising graves for this nation, from the profound deception with which Satan has ensnared them. It was present among those who came before them from previous nations, as Allāh, the Exalted, narrated in His Noble Book. The first of this was among the people of Noah. Allāh, the Exalted, said: "Noah said, 'My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children did not increase them except in loss. And they plotted a mighty plot.'"
وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَخْشَ اللَّهَ وَيَتَّقْهِ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ﴾ وقال سبحانه: ﴿أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ﴾ وأنزل الله على رسوله أن يقول: ﴿فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ﴾ والآيات الدالة عل هذا المعنى في الجملة أكثر من ثلاثين آية. ويستفاد من جميع ما ذكر: أن ما أمر به رسول الله ﷺ ونهى عنه كان الأخذ به واتباعه واجبا بأمر الله سبحانه. وكانت الطاعة لرسول الله في ذلك طاعة لله، وكان الأمر من رسول الله أمرا من الله. وسنوضح لك ما صح عن رسول الله ﷺ في غير حديث من النهي عن رفع القبور والبناء عليها، ووجوب تسويتها، وهدم ما ارتفع منها، ولكنا هنا نبتدي بذكر أشياء في حكم التوطئة والتمهيد لذلك، ثم ننتهي إلى ذكر ما هو المطلوب، حتى يعلم من اطلع على هذا البحث أنه إذا وقع الرد فيما قاله الإمام يحيى وما قاله غيره في القباب والمشاهد إلى ما أمر الله بالرد إليه، وهو كتاب الله سبحانه وسنة رسوله ﷺ كان في ذلك ما يشفي ويكفي، ويقنع ويغني ذكر بعضه، فضلا عن ذكر جميعه. وعند ذلك يتبين لكل من لهم فهم، ما في رفع القبور من الفتنة العظيمة لهذه الأمة، من المكيدة البالغة التي كادهم الشيطان بها. وقد كان بها من كان قبلهم من الأمم السابقة، كما حكى الله ﷾ ذلك في كتابه العزيز. وكان أول ذلك في قوم نوح، قال الله سبحانه: ﴿قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَاراً وَمَكَرُوا مَكْراً
