Nullifiers of Islam (1) In the name of Allāh, all praise is due to Allāh, and may peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow his guidance. To proceed: Know, O Muslim, that Allāh, Glorified and Exalted, has made it obligatory for all servants to enter into Islam, adhere to it, and be cautious of what contradicts it. He sent His Prophet Muḥammad (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) to call to this, and informed that whoever follows him is rightly guided, and whoever turns away from him is astray. He warned in many verses about the causes of apostasy and all types of shirk and disbelief. The scholars (may Allāh have mercy on them) mentioned in the chapter on the ruling of the apostate that a Muslim may apostatize from his religion through many nullifiers that make his blood and wealth permissible, thus taking him out of Islam. Among the most dangerous and most common are ten nullifiers mentioned by the esteemed Sheikh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb and other scholars (may Allāh have mercy on them all). We will mention them to you briefly below so that you may be cautious of them and warn others against them, hoping for safety and well-being from them, with a few clarifications that we will mention afterwards.
