and with servitude, He described all those He chose from His creation in His saying (Ṣād 45-47): "And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of strength and vision. Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. And indeed, they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding." and His saying (Ṣād 17): "And remember Our servant David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allāh]." and He said about Solomon (Ṣād 30): "An excellent servant, indeed he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allāh]." and about Job (Ṣād 44): "An excellent servant." and He said about him (Ṣād 41): "And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord." and He said about Noah (Al-Isrāʾ 3): "Descendants of those We carried with Noah. Indeed, he was a grateful servant." and He said about the Seal of His Messengers (Al-Isrāʾ 1): "Exalted is He who took His servant by night from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣá"—and it is the first of the two qiblahs, and Allāh distinguished it by making worship therein worth five hundred times more. and the intended meaning of multiplying the good deeds is the mosque that the Jews burned, upon them is the curse of Allāh, and some think that al-Masjid al-Aqṣá is the rock and the dome surrounding it, but it is not so. and He said (Al-Jinn 19): "And that when the servant stood up..
وبالعبودية نعت كل من اصْطفى من خلقه فِي قَوْله [٤٥-٤٧ ص] : ﴿وَاذْكُر عبادنَا إِبْرَاهِيم وَإِسْحَاق وَيَعْقُوب أولي الْأَيْدِي والأبصار * إِنَّا أخلصناهم بخالصة ذكرى الدَّار * وَإِنَّهُم عندنَا لمن المصطفين الأخيار﴾. وَقَوله [١٧ ص] : ﴿وَاذْكُر عَبدنَا دَاوُد ذَا الأيد إِنَّه أواب﴾. وَقَالَ عَن سُلَيْمَان [٣٠ ص] : ﴿نعم العَبْد إِنَّه أواب﴾. وَعَن أَيُّوب [٤٤ ص] : ﴿نعم العَبْد﴾. وَقَالَ عَنهُ [٤١ ص] : ﴿وَاذْكُر عَبدنَا أَيُّوب إِذْ نَادَى ربه﴾. وَقَالَ عَن نوح ﵇ [٣ الْإِسْرَاء] : ﴿ذُرِّيَّة من حملنَا مَعَ نوح إِنَّه كَانَ عبدا شكُورًا﴾. وَقَالَ عَن خَاتم رسله [١ الْإِسْرَاء] : ﴿سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أسرى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا من الْمَسْجِد الْحَرَام إِلَى الْمَسْجِد الْأَقْصَى﴾ - وَهُوَ أولى الْقبْلَتَيْنِ، وَقد خصّه الله بِأَن جعل الْعِبَادَة فِيهِ بخمسمئة ضعف. وَالْمَقْصُود بمضاعفة الْحَسَنَات هُوَ الْمَسْجِد الَّذِي حرقه الْيَهُود، عَلَيْهِم لعنة الله، ويظن الْبَعْض أَن الْمَسْجِد الْأَقْصَى هُوَ الصَّخْرَة والقبة المحيطة بهَا، وَلَيْسَ كَذَلِك. وَقَالَ [١٩ الْجِنّ] : ﴿وَأَنه لما قَامَ عبد
