In the name of Allāh, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, and with His help we seek assistance. Indeed, all praise is due to Allāh; we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allāh from the evils of ourselves and from the bad deeds of our actions. Whomsoever Allāh guides, none can mislead, and whomsoever He leads astray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity except Allāh, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His servant and messenger. To proceed: Shaykh al-Islām and the distinguished scholar, the supporter of the sunnah and the suppressor of innovation, Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥalīm Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allāh have mercy on him), was asked about the saying of Allāh (Sūrat al-Baqarah, 21): "O mankind, worship your Lord." What is worship? And what are its branches? And is the entirety of religion included within it or not? And what is the reality of servitude? And is it the highest station in this world and the Hereafter, or is there something above it among the stations? And let him elaborate on this for us
