And the saying of Allāh, the Exalted: "Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Sūrah al-Māʾidah, 5:3) And His saying, the Exalted: "Say, 'O people, if you are in doubt about my religion, then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allāh, but I worship Allāh, who causes you to die.'" (Sūrah Yūnus, 10:104) And His saying, the Exalted: "O you who have believed, fear Allāh and believe in His Messenger; He will give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful." (Sūrah al-Ḥadīd, 57:28) And in the Ṣaḥīḥ [collection] from Ibn ʿUmar (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Your example and the example of the People of the Two Books is like that of a man who hired laborers and said: 'Who will work for me from morning until midday for a qīrāṭ?' So the Jews worked. Then he said: 'Who will work for me from midday until the afternoon prayer for a qīrāṭ?' So the Christians worked. Then he said: 'Who will work from the afternoon prayer until sunset for two qīrāṭs?' So you are they. The Jews and Christians became angry and said: 'Why do we have more work and less pay?' He said
