Narrated by the shaykh, the imam, Abū Bakr Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Zanjawayh al-Zanjawī in Zanjān, narrated by the shaykh Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Bākawayh al-Shīrāzī in Nīshāpūr in the year four hundred and twenty-eight, narrated by Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Ḥasan ibn Saʿīd ibn Jaʿfar al-Muqriʾ al-Muṭṭawīʿī in Fayrūzābād, narrated by Abū Ghānim Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Zakarīyā from the villages of Najd, narrated by Muḥammad ibn Kāmil al-ʿAmmānī in ʿAmmān from the region of al-Balqāʾ in al-Shām, narrated by Abān al-ʿAṭṭār, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Anas ibn Mālik (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), who said:
أَبْنَا الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زَنْجَوَيْهِ الزَّنْجَوِيُّ بِزَنْجَانَ، أَبْنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَاكَوَيْهِ الشِّيرَازِيُّ بِنَيْسَابُورَ فِي سَنَةِ ثَمَانٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَأَرْبَعِمَائَةٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُقْرِئُ الْمُطَّوِعِيُّ بِفَيْرُوزَابَاذَ، ثنا أَبُو غَانِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا مِنْ قُرَى نَجْدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْعَمَّانِيُّ بِعَمَّانَ مِنْ بَلَدِ الْبَلْقَاءِ بِالشَّامِ، أَبْنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ﵁، قَالَ:
"I shook hands with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)
«صَافَحْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ
, and I have not felt any silk or brocade softer than the palm of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)."
، فَلَمْ أَرَ خَزًّا، وَلَا قَزًّا كَانَ أَلْيَنَ مِنْ كَفِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
