and this denial is what this ignorant pseudo-scholar, who attacks the imams of the salaf and fabricates various falsehoods against the people of the sunnah, has fallen into. He said in his alleged treatise "Denunciation of Those Who Enumerate Tawḥīd" (p. 50): "The people of the sunnah and the community have stated that Allāh, glorified be He, is not described as being outside the world nor inside it." He repeated this in another treatise he falsely and deceitfully named: "The Creed of the People of the Sunnah" (p. 26). I said: Let the Muslim consider this description: is it a description of something that exists or something nonexistent?! "Exalted is He and high above what they say by great sublimity" (Sūrah al-Isrāʾ, 43). May Allāh have mercy on Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah; for he hit the mark of truth when he described these deniers and nullifiers and their opponents among the anthropomorphists by saying: "The anthropomorphist worships an idol, and the nullifier worships nothingness. The anthropomorphist is dim-sighted, and the nullifier is blind!" The truth upheld by the salaf and the imams is: affirming the attributes without likening [Allāh to His creation], and declaring Him free from imperfection without nullification. Among the insightful anecdotes that occurred to some wise rulers is that when he heard that nullifying description from some of the sheikhs arguing falsely, he said: "These are people who have lost their Lord!"
