the first: the reliability of those who elevated it; they are more numerous and more trustworthy. the second: the choice of the author of "al-Ṣaḥīḥ" for the elevated narration in his book. Then I found a supporting narration for the ḥadīth: narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir (10/77) through the route of Juwaybir from al-Ḍaḥḥāk from Ibn ʿAbbās as elevated... he mentioned it with its meaning. I said: Juwaybir is among the well-known but abandoned interpreters! He is very weak.
الأول: ثقة الرافعين له؛ فهم أكثر وأوثق. الثاني: اختيار صاحب "الصحيح " لرواية الرفع في كتابه. ثم وجدت للحديث شاهداً:رواه ابن عساكر (١٠/٧٧) من طريق جويبر عن الضحاك عن ابن عباس مرفوعاً ... فذكره بمعناه. قلت: وجويبر من مشاهير المفسرين المتروكين! فهو ضعيف جداً.
(While I was at a well drawing water from it; Abū Bakr and ʿUmar came to me. Abū Bakr took the bucket and drew one or two buckets, and in his drawing there was weakness, and may Allāh forgive him! Then Ibn al-Khaṭṭāb took it from Abū Bakr's hand, and it transformed in his hand into a large bucket, and I did not see a genius among the people who could do what he did, and he drew until the people were satisfied.) It came from the narration of Ibn ʿUmar, Abū Hurayrah, and Abū al-Ṭufayl. As for the narration of Ibn ʿUmar; it was narrated from him by two: the first is Sālim - his son: narrated by al-Bukhārī in (3633, 3682, and 7020), Muslim (7/113), al-Tirmidhī (2289), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (7636), Aḥmad in "his Musnad" (2/28 and 39) and in "al-Faḍāʾil" (224), Ibn Abī Shaybah (11/62 and 12/21), al-Bayhaqī (8/154), Abū Yaʿlá (5514 and 5524), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (13177), and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim (1456) through two routes from Sālim from him with it
(بينما أنا على بئر أَنْزِعُ منها؛ جاءني أبو بكر وعمر، فأخذ أبو بكر الدلو، فنزع ذنوباً أو ذنوبين، وفي نزعه ضعف، والله يغفر له! ثم أخذها ابن الخطاب من يد أبي بكر، فاستحالت في يده غرباً، فلم أر عبقرياً من الناس يفري فريه، فنزع، حئى ضرب الناس بعطن ٍ). جاء من حديث ابن عمر، وأبي هريرة، وأبي الطفيل. أما حديث ابن عمر؛ فرواه عنه اثنان: أولهما ة سالم - ولده-:رواه البخاري في (٣٦٣٣ و ٣٦٨٢ و٧٠٢٠) ، ومسلم (٧/١١٣) ، والترمذي (٢٢٨٩) ، والنسائي في " الكبرى " (٧٦٣٦) ، وأحمد في "مسنده " (٢/٢٨ و ٣٩) وفي "الفضائل " (٢٢٤) ، وابن أبي شيبة (١١/٦٢ و ١٢/ ٢١) ، والبيهقي (٨/١٥٤) ، وأبو يعلى (٥٥١٤ و ٥٥٢٤) ، والطبراني في "المعجم الكبير" (١٣١٧٧) ، وابن أبي عاصم (١٤٥٦) من طريقين عن سالم عنه به.
