narrated by ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Ward from him; he is closer to being reliable, but he makes mistakes and errors, as Ibn Ḥibbān said! Perhaps this is one of his errors, and Allāh knows best. The ḥadīth of Ibn al-Zubayr has two other paths: with Aḥmad (4/4), Abū Nuʿaym (4/307), and ʿAbd al-Razzāq (19049). Let us return to the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd; for it has another path, which is: the fourth: from Shaqīq: narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (6265) through the route of Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad al-Shāfiʿī from Sufyān from al-Aʿmash from him with it. This Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad: he is the cousin of Imām al-Shāfiʿī; he is truthful, as al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb." The rest of the narrators are trustworthy, so the isnād is good. 2- As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās: it was narrated by al-Bukhārī (467), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (8102), Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (1463), Ibn Ḥibbān (6860), Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (1/270) and in "al-Faḍāʾil" (67), Ibn Saʿd (2/227-228), Abū Yaʿlá (2584), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (1/441), al-Qaṭīʿī in his "Ziyādāt" on "al-Faḍāʾil" (134), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (1193 and 11974), Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (3/342-343), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Dalāʾil" (7/167) through the route of ʿIkrimah from him with it
