is rejected; due to the possibility I mentioned, this is if it is not proven that he explicitly heard from him. How then, when he explicitly stated it in the narration of the ḥāfiẓ al-Ṭayālisī? And the statement of Abū Ḥātim that it is a "mistake" is also rejected; because it is not permissible to reject the narration of a trustworthy person as long as it is possible to reconcile it with the other narration that confirmed the intermediary, as I have presented. Moreover, al-Nasāʾī indicated the anomaly of this narration; for he said after the ḥadīth in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (4/58): "And it has been narrated by more than one from al-Shaʿbī from Samurah, and it has also been narrated from al-Shaʿbī from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) as mursal. And we do not know anyone who said in this ḥadīth: [from] (Samʿān); except Saʿīd ibn Masrūq." And the ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī affirmed it.
