Ṣadaqah ibn [Abī] Sahl) or (Ṣadaqah ibn [Abī] Sahl) and perhaps this is closer, and thus I corrected it in my new book "Taysīr al-Intifāʿ." And Allāh knows best. Among the errors is the statement of Dr. Muḥammad al-Bukhārī in his commentary on "al-Duʿāʾ"; for after attributing the ḥadīth to Aḥmad, he said: "And he said: Saʿīd ibn al-Rabīʿ narrated to us ... "! This is from the narration of his son ʿAbd Allāh, so it seems his mention was omitted by his pen. Then the ḥadīth was narrated from Yūsuf ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Salām through another chain and with different wording, so it is necessary to clarify its status. Imām Aḥmad said (6/442-443): Muḥammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, he said: Maimūn narrated to us—meaning: Abū Muḥammad al-Marāʾī al-Tamīmī—he said: Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr narrated to us from Yūsuf ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Salām who said: I accompanied Abū al-Dardāʾ to learn from him, and when death approached him, he said: Announce my death to the people, so I announced his death to the people, and I came back to find the house filled with people. He said: Take me out, so we took him out. He said: Sit me up, so we sat him up. He said: O people! I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: "Whoever performs ablution and perfects it, then prays two rakʿahs completing them; Allāh will grant him what he asks for, either immediately or later." Abū al-Dardāʾ said: O people! Beware of turning in prayer; for there is no prayer for the one who turns. If you are overcome in voluntary prayer, do not be overcome in obligatory prayer
