I said: This is a good chain of transmission and a strong corroboration for what preceded. However, it seems that the ḥadīth has an origin from the narration of Qatādah from al-Ḥasan, as al-ʿUqaylī said after what I quoted from him regarding Khalīl ibn ʿUmar: "And Sarār ibn Mujashshir said: from Saʿīd ibn Abī ʿArūbah from Qatādah from al-Ḥasan and Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) something similar." So if this is preserved, it supports the authenticity of the rare narration and Khalīl from ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm from Qatādah from Saʿīd and al-Ḥasan, but he did not provide his chain to Sarār for us to examine it. Then he presented the previous narration of Ibn al-Mubārak from Saʿīd from Qatādah from Ibn al-Musayyib with it. He said: "This is more appropriate." Then he said: "Hishām al-Dustuwānī said from Qatādah from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, a similar mawqūf narration. And this is more appropriate." I said: Likewise, it was narrated by Shuʿbah from Qatādah with it as mawqūf. It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī. The narration of Sarār from Qatādah as marfūʿ is more appropriate to me because he heard from Saʿīd long ago as previously mentioned from al-Nasāʾī and due to ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm's corroboration of it. And Allāh knows best. And al-Mundhirī said (3/78): "It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī and al-Bazzār with two chains, one of which has narrators of the ṣaḥīḥ, and al-Ḥākim said: a ṣaḥīḥ chain."
