to myself for the blink of an eye ever." It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī and others with a good chain, and al-Mundhirī authenticated it. Its citation has been mentioned under number (227). (Note): Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah included the ḥadīth of the translation in "al-Kalim al-Ṭayyib" (number 118) with the wording of Ibn al-Sunnī attributed to al-Tirmidhī, but it is with him in the wording: "distress," and his student Ibn al-Qayyim followed him in "al-Wābil al-Ṣayyib" (235)! Shaykh al-Anṣārī remained silent about it—and about revealing its defect—as is his habit! Likewise did Shaykh ʿAbd al-Qādir al-Arnāʾūṭ in his edition of "Adhkār al-Nawawī" (p. 102), but the ḥadīth in it is with the wording of al-Tirmidhī attributed to him; however, he said afterwards: "al-Ḥākim said: This ḥadīth has a sound chain of transmission"! I did not see it in his "Mustadrak," and I think he confused it with the ḥadīth of Fāṭimah mentioned earlier; for it is also from the ḥadīth of Anas, but through another route from him. Then I saw Ibn ʿAllān had quoted in "Sharḥ al-Adhkār" (4/5) from the ḥāfiẓ what indicates the error of al-Nawawī, so refer to it if you wish. *
