- (He would combine two prayers during travel). It was recorded by al-Bazzār in his "Musnad" (1/330-331): Ibrāhīm ibn Hāniʾ narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab narrated to us: Abū Shihāb narrated from ʿAwf from Abū Naḍrah from Abū Saʿīd: that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ... and he mentioned it, saying: "We do not know it from Abū Saʿīd except through this chain, and Muḥammad is trustworthy and well-known for his devotion." I say: This isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy. Abū Shihāb's name is ʿAbd Rabbih ibn Nāfiʿ, and he and those above him are from the narrators of the "Ṣaḥīḥ," and the two below him are trustworthy as previously explained near ḥadīth (3038). We have gained an important benefit here; which is al-Bazzār's authentication of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab, so it should be added to the authentication by Ibn Ḥibbān and others whom I mentioned there. Moreover, the repetition of this name here confirms what I preferred there that the correct name is (ʿAbd al-Wahhab) and not (ʿAbd al-Wahhāb), so take note. I had mentioned there that his status and the status of Ibrāhīm, who narrated from him, were unknown to al-Haythamī, so perhaps it became clear to him later; for he commented on al-Bazzār's statement authenticating this Muḥammad by saying (2/199): "I say: And the rest of its narrators are trustworthy." And through his route: it was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" with a more complete wording; he said (2/205/1): Mūsá ibn Hārūn narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab al-Ḥārithī narrated it, and its wording is: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) combined the ẓuhr and ʿaṣr, and the maghrib and ʿishāʾ, delaying maghrib and hastening ʿishāʾ, so he prayed them together."
