as for Ibn Zurārah al-Raqī, a group of trustworthy narrators transmitted from him, and more than one of the ḥuffāẓ mentioned him among the teachers of al-Bukhārī. The ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful, but al-Azdī criticized him without evidence." Ibn Ḥibbān included him in "al-Thiqāt" (8/100) and said: "He died in the year 230." This is something to be noted regarding "Tahdhīb al-Ḥāfiẓ," as it did not attribute him to "al-Thiqāt" at all. As for Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Ṣāʾigh, he is among those from whom al-Ṭabarānī narrated extensively from his teachers, narrating about one hundred and fifty ḥadīths from him in "al-Awsaṭ" alone. The ḥāfiẓ al-Dhahabī mentioned him in "al-Siyar" (13/428) as "the ḥadīth scholar, the trustworthy imām..." From the previous clarification of the status of the narrators of this ḥadīth’s isnād, it becomes clear that it is a sound isnād, and all praise is due to Allāh. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/124): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ,' and in it is Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Zurārah, whom Ibn Ḥibbān declared trustworthy, but al-Azdī said: his ḥadīth is rejected. Do not pay attention to al-Azdī's statement in such cases, and the rest of its narrators are narrators of (al-Ṣaḥīḥ)." I say: This authentic ḥadīth was overlooked by al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī, as he mentioned in its place in "al-Targhīb" (1/60) the ḥadīth of al-Bazzār from ʿĀʾishah with this wording, and he also overlooked that in its isnād according to al-Bazzār (1/82/133) is Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik from al-Zuhrī from ʿUrwah from her. And this Muḥammad—he is Ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Anṣārī—is a liar as al-Haythamī said
وأما ابن زرارة الرقي؛ فروى عنه جمع من الثقات، وذكره غير واحد من الحفاظ في شيوخ البخاري، وقال الحافظ:"صدوق، تكلم فيه الأزدي بغير حجة". وأورده ابن حبان في "الثقات " (٨/ ١٠٠) وقال:"مات سنة (٢٣٠) ". وهذا مما يستدرك على "تهذيب الحافظ "؛ فإنه لم يعزه إلى "الثقات " مطلقاً. وأما محمد بن علي الصائغ، فهو ممن أكثر الطبراني من الرواية عنهم من شيوخه، فروى عنه في "الأوسط " فقط نحو مئة وخمسين حديثاً. وترجمه الحافظ الذهبي في "السير" (١٣/٤٢٨) بـ"المحدث الإمام الثقة ... ". ومما سبق من بيان حال رواة إسناد هذا الحديث يتبين أنه إسناد صحيح والحمد الله. وقال الهيثمي في "المجمع " (١/١٢٤) :"رواه الطبراني في "الأوسط "، وفيه إسماعيل بن عبد الله بن زرارة، وثقه ابن حبان، وقال الأزدي: منكر الحديث. ولا يلتفت إلى قول الأزدي في مثله، وبقية رجاله رجال (الصحيح) ". قلت: وقد فات هذا الحديث الصحيح على الحافظ المنذري، فذكر مكانهفي "الترغيب (١/ ٦٠) حديث البزار عن عائشة بهذا اللفظ، وفاته أيضاً أن في إسناده عند البزار (١/٨٢/١٣٣) محمد بن عبد الملك عن الزهري عن عروة عنها. ومحمد هذا- هو ابن عبد الملك الأنصاري- كذاب كما قال الهيثمي
