the route of Abān ibn Sufyān, except that he said: (Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ṭalḥah) instead of (Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, the client of the family of Ṭalḥah). I said: And this I do not recognize, so the commentator's statement on "al-Faḍāʾil": "Its isnād is authentic"; I do not know its basis! And the one before him is a Successor from the men of Muslim, who died in the year (110), and Hushaym did not meet him; he died in the year (183), and he used to practice tadlīs. And it has another isnād narrated from Abū Ḥamzah ʿImrān ibn Abī ʿAṭāʾ, and he was followed by Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr who said: Abū Ḥamzah, the client of Abū Maryam al-Ghassānī, told me: Ṭalḥah... It was recorded by al-Dūlābī in "al-Kuná" (1/2577), and it is also mursal; this Abū Ḥamzah is a trustworthy Successor. 2- Page 948, under ḥadīth (2902 - footnote): Then I saw it in "Jāmiʿ al-Masānīd" by the ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr, he mentioned it (1/196/173) from the route of ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh only. And the commentator, Dr. Qalaʿjī, attributed it to Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (3: 417)! Thus, with the volume and page! And I do not know—by Allāh—whether this is one of his delusions, or from his claiming what he has not been given; as his compatriot Shaykh al-Ṣābūnī does? For there is nothing in the indicated place of "al-Musnad" except the ḥadīth of stepping over necks which will be mentioned (p. 951), and Ibn Kathīr mentioned it just before this! 3- Page 1047, under ḥadīth (2934): His saying in the ḥadīth of the Dajjāl: "And he will cause the sky to rain, and the earth to grow." Thus it appeared in "Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah", and in "al-Durr al-Manthūr" (5/355) attributed to it: "... and the earth to grow," omitting the negating (lā): And in "al-Musnad" and "al-Sunnah": "... and the trees will not grow," affirming (lā), and mentioning "trees" instead of "earth," and likewise in "Kanz al-ʿUmmāl" (14/605) by the narration of al-Baghawī
