walking and letting her hair down, so the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Indeed, Allāh is free from need of your sister's vow. Tell her to ride and to offer a sacrifice, and I think he said: and to cover her hair." It was recorded by al-Ruyānī in "Musnad" (19/6/1-2) and its narrators are trustworthy. Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhumā) also followed him from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir with a similar narration, and he said: "and to offer a sacrifice" instead of the addition. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī (2/75) with a sound chain of transmission, and others have narrated it similarly, and it was authenticated by al-Ḥāfiẓ, and it is referenced in "al-Irwāʾ" (8/219). Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ḥubulī also followed him from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir with it, except that he said: "and to fast for three days" instead of the addition. It was also recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī, and in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (3/38) and al-Ruyānī in "Musnad" (19/5/1) through the route of Ḥiyy (original: Yaḥyá) ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Maʿāfirī from him. I say: Its chain of transmission is good with what preceded it. ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mālik also followed him from ʿUqbah similarly to the previous one. And in its chain is weakness which I clarified in the aforementioned source along with its referencing, and al-Tirmidhī deemed it good. It was also recorded by ʿAbd al-Razzāq in "al-Muṣannaf" (8/450/15871) and Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (3/291/1753) and al-Ruyānī in "Musnad" (19/55/1-2) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (17/323/893 and 894). And it was narrated by the two Shaykhs, and others, through another route: from Abū al-Khayr from ʿUqbah with a very brief wording:
