- "Two groups from my community will not come to me at the Basin: the Qadariyyah and the Murjiʾah." It was recorded by al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (p. 156), al-Ṭabarī in "al-Tahdhīb" (2/180/1472), Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (949), and al-Lālakāʾī in "Sharḥ al-Sunan" (4/142/1157) from Baqiyyah who said: Sulaimān ibn Jaʿfar al-Azdī narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā from his father from his grandfather with it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-ʿUqaylī said: "Sulaimān ibn Jaʿfar is unknown in transmitting ḥadīth, and his ḥadīth is not followed." Then he presented this ḥadīth for him and said: "It is not followed except by someone similar to him or lesser." I said: Perhaps he is referring to the ḥadīth of Anas with it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth, except that he added: "and they will not enter Paradise." Al-Haythamī mentioned it (7/207) and said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ', and its men are the men of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ' except for Hārūn ibn Mūsá al-Furawī, and he is trustworthy." It should be known that this statement from al-Haythamī - and he repeats it often - does not negate the weakening indicated by al-ʿUqaylī, because the trustworthiness of the men of the isnād does not necessitate its authenticity, as is not hidden from those who practice this noble science. There may be tadlīs or a break in the chain, or one of its narrators may be weakened even if he is among the men of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ', especially if he is paired with someone else or suspended, among other defects in the authenticity of the isnād, so reflect. Then I reviewed the isnād of al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" and he said (1/253/1): ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Farghānī narrated to us, he said: Hārūn ibn Mūsá al-Furawī informed us, he said: Abū Ḍumrah Anas ibn ʿIyāḍ informed us from Ḥumayd from Anas who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:
