- "There is no leader of ten people except that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection shackled, and only justice will release him or injustice will destroy him." Reported by Aḥmad (2/431), Abū Yaʿlá (4/1564), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10/96), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/199/1) from Muḥammad ibn ʿAjlān from his father from Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). In another narration by Aḥmad: from Ibn ʿAjlān who said: Saʿīd narrated to me from Abū Hurayrah with it. And reported by al-Bazzār (p. 178) with both narrations. I say: This is a good isnād, and al-Mundhirī said (3/139): "Aḥmad narrated it with a good isnād, its men are the men of the ṣaḥīḥ!" I say: And it has two other paths from Abū Hurayrah. The first: from Saʿīd ibn Yasār from him. Reported by al-Dārimī (2/240) and al-Bazzār with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād, and Aḥmad (2/431) with a good isnād. And the other: from Bishr ibn Saʿīd from him. Reported by al-Ḥākim (4/89). It has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Abū Umāmah previously referenced under number (349). Another supporting narration from the path of Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād from ʿĪsá ibn Fāʾid from a man from Saʿd ibn ʿIyādah in a marfūʿ form with it, and added: "And there is no one who learns the Quran and then forgets it except that he will meet Allāh mutilated."
