It was recorded by Aḥmad. I said: The narration of Ismāʿīl from the people of Madīnah is weak, and this is one of them, especially since he was contradicted by Sulaymān ibn Bilāl and likewise al-Awzāʿī as previously mentioned, and they were followed by Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān as noted by the ḥāfiẓ, may Allāh have mercy on him. (Benefit): In this ḥadīth, there is an important neglected sunnah by all the callers to prayer—unfortunately—which is one of the examples that clarifies the meaning of His saying (Exalted is He): *"and He has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty"* [Sūrah al-Ḥajj, 22:78], which is his saying after the adhān: "And whoever sits, there is no blame," which specifies the generality of his saying in the adhān: "Come to prayer," which implies the obligation of responding practically by going to the mosque and praying with the congregation of Muslims, except in severe cold and similar excuses. There are other ḥadīths on this, including the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar: "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would command a caller to give the adhān, then say after it: 'Indeed, pray in your dwellings.'" on a cold or rainy night during travel." It is agreed upon, and some did not mention "during travel" (1), which is the narration of al-Shāfiʿī in "al-Umm" (1/76), and he said afterward: "And I prefer for the imām to command this when the caller finishes his adhān. (فائدة) : في هذا الحديث سنة هامة مهجورة من كافة المؤذنين - مع الأسف - وهي من الأمثلة التي بها يتضح معنى قوله ﵎: * (وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج) *، ألا وهي قوله عقب الأذان: " ومن قعد فلا حرج "، فهو تخصيص لعموم قوله في الأذان: " حي على الصلاة " المقتضى لوجوب إجابته عمليا بالذهاب إلى المسجد والصلاة مع جماعة المسلمين إلا في البرد الشديد ونحوه من الأعذار. وفي ذلك أحاديث أخرى منها حديث ابن عمر: " أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يأمر مؤذنا يؤذن، ثم يقول في أثره: " ألا صلوا في الرحال ". في الليلة الباردة أو المطيرة في السفر ". متفق عليه، ولم يذكر بعضهم " في السفر " (١) وهي رواية الشافعي في " الأم " (١ / ٧٦) وقال عقبه: " وأحب للإمام أن يأمر بهذا إذا فرغ المؤذن من أذانه. وإن قاله في أذانه فلا بأس عليه ". وحكاه النووي في " المجموع " (٣ / ١٢٩ - ١٣١) عن الشافعي، وعن جماعة
