- "Indeed, before the Hour there will be years of deception, during which a liar will be believed and a truthful person will be disbelieved, a treacherous person will be trusted and a trustworthy person will be considered treacherous, and the insignificant will speak out. It was said: What is the insignificant? It was said: A foolish person who speaks about public affairs." It was recorded by al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (3373 - al-Kashf) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (18/67/125) through the chain of Yūnus ibn Bukayr from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq from Ibrāhīm ibn Abī ʿAblah from his father from ʿAwf ibn Mālik who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Bazzār added: Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dīnār narrated to me from Anas from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying: similarly. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (7/284): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and Ibn Isḥāq explicitly stated hearing from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dīnār, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy." So he said! And al-Aʿẓamī affirmed it in his commentary on "al-Kashf." We have two criticisms against them: first, that the ḥadīth of ʿAwf was not attributed to al-Ṭabarānī, especially since he narrated it from a different route. The second: that Abū ʿAblah - the father of Ibrāhīm - is not known except through this narration, and none other than Ibn Ḥibbān (4/367) authenticated him, while Ibn Abī Ḥātim remained silent about him, thus from this perspective, he is weak, strengthened by the ḥadīth of Anas, as its isnād is good due to Ibn Isḥāq's explicit narration.
