"It was narrated by Aḥmad, and in it are those whom I do not know." The third and fourth: from Saʿīd ibn Wahb and from Zayd ibn Yathīʿ, they said: ʿAlī implored the people in the courtyard: "Whoever heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say on the day of Ghadīr Khumm, let him stand." Six stood from Saʿīd's side, and six from my side, and they testified that they heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say to ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) on the day of Ghadīr Khumm: "Is not Allāh more entitled to the believers?" They said: "Indeed, yes." He said: "O Allāh, whomever I am his master..." the ḥadīth in its entirety. It was recorded by ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad in the additions to "al-Musnad" (1/118) and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Mukhtārah" (456, my verification) from the path of Sharīk from Abū Isḥāq from both of them. From this perspective, it was also recorded by al-Nasāʾī (16), but he did not mention Saʿīd ibn Wahb in the chain, and he added at the end: "Sharīk said: I asked Abū Isḥāq: Did you hear al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib narrate this from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)? He said: Yes." Al-Nasāʾī said: ʿImrān ibn Abān al-Wāsiṭī is not strong in ḥadīth, meaning the narrator from Sharīk. I said: And Sharīk is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh the judge, and he has poor memory. His ḥadīth is good in supporting evidence, and he was followed by Shuʿbah with al-Nasāʾī (p. 16) and Aḥmad in part of it (5/366) and from him by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (no. 455, my verification).
