(1508) and Ibn Ḥibbān (2289) and al-Ḥākim (4/72) and al-Ṭayālisī (951) and from him al-Bayhaqī in "Maʿrifat al-Sunan" (p. 29) and Aḥmad (4/81 and 83) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (9/64) through the route of Ibn Abī Dhiʾb from al-Zuhrī from Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAwf from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Azhar from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. It was said to al-Zuhrī: By what means? He said: By the excellence of opinion. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I say: This Ibn ʿAwf, Muslim did not narrate anything from him, so it is according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī alone. And Ibn al-Azhar was not indicated as being among the men of the two Shaykhs, but the ḥāfiẓ clarified in his biography in "al-Tahdhīb" that he deserves to be indicated as such, so whoever wishes may refer to his statement. Then Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim narrated it (1509) from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz from al-Zuhrī from Abū Salamah and from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from ʿUtbah ibn Ghazwān and from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr from ʿUtbah ibn Ghazwān who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. I say: And this isnād is very weak, for Muḥammad, who is the civil judge and the brother of ʿAbd Allāh, despite his disagreement with Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, is very weak, so he is not considered reliable.

"Indeed, the distance between the two gates of Paradise is a journey of forty years." It was narrated from the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, Muʿāwiyah ibn Ḥaydah, ʿUtbah ibn Ghazwān, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Salām. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd, it is narrated by Ibn Lahīʿah who reported to us from Darāj from Abū al-Haytham from him.
