the first: from the narration of ʿAṭiyyah al-ʿAwfī from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Indeed, I have a basin whose length is the distance between the Kaʿbah and Bayt al-Maqdis, whiter than milk, its vessels as numerous as the stars. Every prophet calls his nation, and every prophet has a basin. Some of them will have groups come to them, some will have a band, some will have a few people, some will have two men, some will have one man, and some will have no one come to them. It will be said: 'You have conveyed,' and indeed, I will have the most followers among the prophets on the Day of Resurrection." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/110) and likewise by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in "Kitāb al-Ahwāl" as mentioned in "Ibn Kathīr" (1/363 and 369) and by Ibn Mājah (2/279) in a shortened form. And ʿAṭiyyah is weak. the second: from Muḥṣin ibn ʿUqbah al-Yamānī from al-Zubayr ibn Shubayt (sic) from Abū ʿUthmān from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was asked about standing before the Lord of the worlds, whether there is water there. He said: 'Yes, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, indeed there is water. The allies of Allāh will approach the basins of the prophets, and Allāh will send seventy thousand angels with rods of fire in their hands to drive the disbelievers away from the basins of the prophets.'" It was recorded by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā. And Ibn Kathīr said (1/370): "This is a strange ḥadīth from this perspective. It is not found in any of the six books." I said: I did not find anyone who translated al-Zubayr and Muḥṣin. the third: Ibn Abī al-Dunyā said: Khālid ibn Khudāsh (original: Kharāsh) narrated to us, Ḥazm ibn Abī Ḥazm narrated to us, I heard al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "If you lose me, then I am your predecessor at the basin. Indeed, every prophet has a basin, and he stands at his basin with a rod in his hand, calling those he recognizes from his nation. Indeed, they boast about who has the most followers, and by the One in Whose hand is my soul, I hope to have the most followers among them."
