from Abū Hurayrah and it is not the ḥadīth of Anas ibn Mālik from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), so perhaps there is an omission in "Juzʾ Ibn Shādhān." This is supported by the fact that I found in my draft that Ibn Shādhān narrated in "the eighth of his sections" (15/1) from al-Ḥasan from Anas ibn Ḥakīm from Abū Hurayrah with it. Likewise, Sufyān ibn Ḥusayn narrated from ʿAlī ibn Zayd from Anas ibn Ḥakīm al-Ḍabbī who said: Abū Hurayrah said to me: When you come to the people of your city, inform them that I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it similarly, and in it: "If his prayer is correct, otherwise it is supplemented with his voluntary prayers, then all the obligatory deeds are compared with that." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/290), Ibn Naṣr, and al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (2/24/1) and he said: "A good ḥadīth." I say: and it is as he said, for Anas ibn Ḥakīm is obscure as in "al-Taqrīb," for Ibn Judʿān also narrated from him, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (3/14). He was followed by Yūnus ibn ʿUbayd from al-Ḥasan from Anas ibn Ḥakīm al-Ḍabbī with it, more complete than him. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/425) and Ibn Naṣr. Ḥumayd also followed him from al-Ḥasan from Abū Hurayrah, omitting Anas ibn Ḥakīm between them, so perhaps al-Ḥasan concealed it in this narration from him. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/103). Al-Ḥasan has another shaykh in it, narrated by Hammām ibn Yaḥyá from Qatādah from al-Ḥasan from Ḥurayth ibn Qabīṣah who said: I came to Medina and met Abū Hurayrah ... he said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): and he mentioned it like the previous narration of Abān ibn Yazīd al-ʿAṭṭār. It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/81), al-Tirmidhī (2/270) who graded it as good, Ibn Naṣr, and al-Ṭaḥāwī in "al-Mushkil" (3/227). Then he and Ibn Shādhān recorded it in "the eighth of his sections" (14/2) from two routes from al-Ḥasan from (in one of them: he informed me) Ṣaʿṣaʿah from Abū Hurayrah
