and Ibn Ḥibbān said about him: "It is not permissible to use him as evidence due to his contradiction of the reliable narrators." I said: All the narrators above him are trustworthy. I found another chain for the ḥadīth, narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr," who said: Ibn Ḥanbal narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Abān al-Wāsiṭī informed us, Abū Shihāb informed us from Abū Muḥammad al-Jazarī—who is Ḥamzah al-Naṣībī—from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār from Ibn ʿAbbās, elevated to the Prophet with its entirety. And all its men are trustworthy except for this Ḥamzah, who is Ḥamzah ibn Abī Ḥamzah al-Jazarī al-Naṣībī. In "al-Taqrīb," it is said: "Abandoned, accused of fabricating." I said: His teacher al-Haythamī did not recognize him when he said in "al-Majmaʿ" (5/212): "Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is Abū Muḥammad al-Jazarī Ḥamzah, whom I do not know, and the rest of its men are the men of the authentic collections!"
وقد قال ابن حبان فيه: " لا يجوز أن يحتج به لمخالفته الأثبات ". قلت: ومن فوقه من الرواة كلهم ثقات. وقد وجدت للحديث طريقا آخر، رواه الطبراني في " الكبير " قال: حدثنا ابن حنبل أخبرنا محمد بن أبان الواسطي أخبرنا أبو شهاب عن أبي محمد الجزري - وهو حمزة النصيبي - عن عمرو بن دينار عن ابن عباس مرفوعا بتمامه. ورجاله كلهم ثقات غير حمزة هذا وهو حمزة بن أبي حمزة الجزري النصيبي قال في " التقريب ": " متروك متهم بالوضع ". قلت: ولم يعرفه شيخه الهيثمي حيث قال في " المجمع " (٥ / ٢١٢) : " رواه الطبراني وفيه أبو محمد الجزري حمزة ولم أعرفه وبقية رجاله رجال الصحيح "!.
"Whoever assists in a dispute with injustice, or aids in injustice, will remain in the displeasure of Allāh until he desists." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2/52) through the route of Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim from Maṭar al-Warrāq from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar, elevated to the Prophet. This is a good chain; all its men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim. I did not authenticate it because there is criticism regarding Maṭar al-Warrāq's memory, and it is said in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful but makes many mistakes." I said: He was not alone in narrating it, as it was also recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/99) through the route of ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Muslim from Nāfiʿ with it. He said: "Its chain is authentic." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: There is clear scrutiny in this, as ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Muslim is said in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful but errs much, sends disconnected reports, and practices tadlīs." It was also narrated from Maṭar by al-Muthanná ibn Zayd, who is unknown, and it was recorded by Abū Dāwūd in a similar manner
" من أعان على خصومة بظلم، أو يعين على ظلم، لم يزل في سخط الله حتى ينزع ". أخرجه ابن ماجة (٢ / ٥٢) من طريق حسين المعلم عن مطر الوراق عن نافع عن ابن عمر مرفوعا. وهذا سند حسن رجاله كلهم ثقات رجال مسلم، وإنما لم أصححه لأن في مطر الوراق كلاما من جهة حفظه، وقد قال في " التقريب ": " صدوق كثير الخطأ ". قلت: ولم يتفرد به، فقد أخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ٩٩) من طريق عطاء بن أبي مسلم عن نافع به. وقال: " صحيح الإسناد ". ووافقه الذهبي. قلت: وفيه نظر بين، فإن عطاء بن أبي مسلم قال في " التقريب ": " صدوق يهم كثيرا ويرسل ويدلس ". وقد رواه عن مطر أيضا المثنى بن زيد وهو مجهول، أخرجه أبو داود بنحوه.
