he explicitly stated the transmission, so there is no harm from it. Thus, the ḥadīth, with the combination of the two paths, is authentic in my view. And Allāh knows best.

- "My community is a community that has received mercy; it will not have punishment in the Hereafter. Its punishment is in this world: trials, earthquakes, and killing." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (4278), al-Ḥākim (4/444), and Aḥmad (4/410 and 418) from the path of al-Masʿūdī, from Saʿīd ibn Abī Burdah, from his father, from Abū Mūsá, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: And al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is authentic!" and al-Dhahabī agreed with him! Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar said in "Badhl al-Māʿūn" (54/2): "Its isnād is good." Thus they said, and al-Masʿūdī had become confused. However, the ḥadīth is authentic, as it was recorded by Aḥmad (4/408), al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" (1/1/38-39), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr" (p. 3), al-Qāḍī al-Khūlānī in "Tārīkh Dāriyā" (pp. 82-83), Abū Bakr al-Kalābādhī in "Miftāḥ al-Maʿānī" (154/1), and al-Wāḥidī in "al-Wasīṭ" (1/128/1) from many other paths from Abū Burdah with it. And Abū Burdah has another isnād for it. Muḥammad ibn Faḍl ibn Ghazwān said: Ṣudfah ibn al-Muthanná narrated to us, Riyaḥ narrated to us from Abū Burdah who said: "While I was standing in the market during the governorship of Ziyād, I struck one of my hands against the other in amazement. A man from the Anṣār, whose father had companionship with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), said: 'What amazes you, O Abū Burdah?' I said: 'I am amazed at people whose religion is one, their Prophet is one, their call is one, and their pilgrimage is...'"
