"the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was delivering a sermon, and he saw my father in the sun, so he instructed or gestured to him to move to the shade," and he mentioned it without the addition. Likewise, it was narrated by Aḥmad (3/426): Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated it. It was also narrated by al-Ḥākim through the route of al-Ṭayālisī with the addition. In my view, it is anomalous from Shuʿbah and from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid. As for the first, it is clear from the uniqueness of al-Ḥākim's narration from al-Ṭayālisī, contradicting the narration in "his Musnad" and the narration of Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar with Aḥmad. As for the latter, it is because a group narrated from Ismāʿīl without his saying, "for it is blessed." Among them are Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd, Huraym, and Wakīʿ; all of them did not mention this addition, so it is anomalous. It was narrated from them by Aḥmad (3/426-427, 4/262) and Ibn Ḥibbān (1958) from Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd.
